Vishnu B Nagendra Rao's work experience begins in 2014 as the India Operations Co-Lead at Vayu, LLC. From 2015 to 2016, they co-founded TartanSense, a technology company focused on precision agriculture. In 2016, they co-founded Flowgress, which aims to revolutionize traffic flow management. In 2017, Vishnu worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at 510.global, conducting a study on technology integration for humanitarian relief. Starting in 2018, they worked at Logistimo as a Business Analyst and later as a Systems Thinking Specialist. Since 2019, Vishnu has been the Chief Operating Officer at TartanSense.
Vishnu B Nagendra Rao has a diverse education history. In 2010, they began their undergraduate studies at Ramaiah Institute Of Technology, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2014. Following this, they pursued further education and received a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Technology Policy and Management from Delft University of Technology in 2017. In the same year, Vishnu also attended the Stanford University Graduate School of Business for the Ignite 2017 program, focusing on Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies. Additionally, in 2016, they took a course at Stanford University titled "Environment and Water Studies," with a focus on Water Management, Smarter Cities and communities, and Sustainable Design thinking.
Vishnu has also obtained two additional certifications. In 2015, they received a Language Certification in German A1 from Goethe-Institut e.V. Furthermore, they have a professional certificate for Startup Success: How to Launch a Technology Company in 6 Steps from MIT Professional Education, although the precise timing of their completion for this certificate is unknown.
