Chris Pickett

Engineering Lead at Niron Magnetics

Chris Pickett has a diverse work experience with various roles and responsibilities in different companies.

Chris started their career with an internship at Daktronics as a Qualified Hardware Design Intern in 2009.

In 2010, they joined John Deere Electronic Solutions as a Software Design Intern and later became a Software Design Engineer, where they developed control software for electric drives and executed software tests. Chris worked there until September 2013.

After that, Chris joined the Peace Corps in October 2013 as a Peace Corps Volunteer, serving until June 2014.

In 2014, they volunteered on three organic farms in Spain, Morocco, and Ireland through WWOOF, where they worked on various agricultural tasks and construction projects until July 2015.

From January 2016 to June 2016, they worked as an Agroforestry Volunteer at the Border Green Energy Team (BGET).

In November 2016, Chris started working at ThermaSolutions as a Field Service Engineer and continued in this role until January 2022. Chris'sresponsibilities included coordinating and leading a team of medical device technicians, responding to service requests, and collaborating with a contract manufacturer for developing cancer therapy devices.

At ThermaSolutions, they also held the position of Engineering Lead and Service Manager from January 2022 to December 2022, where they trained and led a team of technicians, performed preventative maintenance and emergency service at multiple locations, and made critical decisions in the design process.

Currently, Chris is working at Niron Magnetics, Inc. as an Engineering Lead, starting in January 2023.

Chris Pickett obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering from North Dakota State University. Chris attended the university from 2007 to 2010.
