Michael Ashley

Michael Ashley is an experienced embedded systems engineer currently working at Nirrin Technologies since September 2022, having previously held the role of Embedded Systems Engineer I. Prior experience includes an REU internship at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering, where protocol development for automated tensile testing of FDM 3D printed structures was accomplished, along with rapid prototyping using Solidworks and 3D printing. Michael also served as a Computational Biology Assistant at Sozzani Lab, utilizing R and Excel for genomic data analysis and teaching MATLAB pipeline TuxNet. Additionally, Michael interned at NGK Ceramics USA, Inc., conducting root cause analysis and testing for manufacturing improvements. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University and ongoing Master's study in Computer Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology, set to conclude in July 2026.
