Valarie Bomar

Valarie Bomar serves as the Vice President & Deputy General Counsel at NiSource since September 2022, where leadership includes managing a team of legal professionals overseeing various legal areas including litigation, labor and employment, and compliance. Prior to this role, Valarie was Senior Counsel for Business Litigation at Thompson Coburn LLP from April to August 2022, providing tailored legal advice to clients facing business litigation and compliance issues. Valarie’s previous experience includes positions as Vice President Senior Associate General Counsel at Adtalem Global Education, Chief Counsel at The Kraft Heinz Company, Senior Counsel at Kraft Foods Group, and Senior Counsel at The Hillshire Brands Company. Valarie began a legal career as a Partner at Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal (now Dentons US, LLP). Valarie Bomar holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Spelman College.
