Jose Roman

José Román is currently Nissan México's (NMEX) President and Managing Director.

Román has more than 20 years of experience in the automotive industry. He joined Nissan in 2012 as Regional Vice President of Sales for Nissan Mexico. After having held high-responsibility roles in Latin America, Román was named Corporate Vice President, Global Datsun Business Unit in 2017.

As the global leader of Datsun, Román led the world team in Japan and the teams in markets around the world where Datsun has been introduced, including India, Indonesia, Russia and South Africa. He was responsible for the growth of the brand, including the development, manufacture and marketing of vehicles. In his previous role, Román directed Sales and Marketing operations and oversaw all business operations at Nissan Latin America.
