Rafay Abedi

Rafay Abedi has a diverse work experience across multiple companies. Rafay began their career in 2012 as an Intern-Web Developer at DHA Suffa University. From 2013 to 2016, they worked as a Software Engineer at NexDegree, focusing on web development and creating modules for MaestroConference using Drupal 6. In 2016, they joined Indus Valley Labs (pvt) Ltd as a Software Engineer II. From 2019 to 2020, they served as a Senior Software Engineer at Matech co Consulting & Outsourcing, where they also took on the role of Team Lead and trained junior developers. In 2020, Rafay joined VeeOne Health as a Senior Software Engineer, responsible for leading the frontend team and prioritizing requirements for Veemed, a telemedicine product deployed in hospitals in the US. Currently, since 2021, Rafay works at Nisum as a Senior Software Engineer, and they will transition to the role of Principal Software Engineer in April 2023.

Rafay Abedi completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, starting in 2009 and graduating in 2013. Following this, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Marketing at the Institute of Business Management from 2015 to 2020.

Prior to their university education, Rafay attended the Commecs Institute of Business and Emerging Sciences from 2007 to 2009, where they completed their Pre-Engineering degree in General Sciences.

In addition to their formal education, Rafay Abedi obtained certifications in Agile Foundations from LinkedIn in October 2020, and CCNA from Cisco in March 2014.
