Prof Hari Kumar Voruganti, Ph.D. has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple institutions and roles. Prof Hari Kumar started their career as a Research Intern at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited in 2002. Prof Hari Kumar then went on to work as a Research Scholar at IIT Kanpur from 2004 to 2009. During this time, they also served as a Visiting Scholar at TU Berlin, where they worked on robot motion planning.
In 2009, Prof Voruganti joined IIITDM Jabalpur as an Assistant Professor, teaching and conducting research until 2011, when they moved to the University of Witwatersrand (WITS) as a Postdoctoral Fellow. At WITS, they worked in the field of Computer Science.
From 2012 to the present, Prof Voruganti has been affiliated with NIT Warangal, starting as an Assistant Professor and progressing to Associate Dean for Academic Affairs UG. Their current role at NIT Warangal is as a Professor.

In 2021, they served as a Visiting Faculty (online) at the School of Engineering Sciences and Technology (SEST), University of Hyderabad. Prof Hari Kumar Voruganti, Ph.D. earned their Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kakatiya University, where they studied from 1998 to 2001. Prof Hari Kumar then pursued a Master of Engineering degree in Automation and Robotics from Osmania University from 2001 to 2003. Subsequently, Prof Voruganti completed their Ph.D. in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, from 2004 to 2009.
