César Mendoza has a diverse and extensive work experience in various positions related to design and innovation. In 1991, they started their career as an Industrial Designer at Nishimura Co., Ltd., where they worked until 1993. César then joined Reiji Oshima OSHIMA & ASSOCIATES as a Senior Designer until 1995.
From 1995 to 2000, Mendoza served as a Design Director at Acropoli. During this time, they led a team and implemented a methodology combining Italian creativity with Japanese manufacturing precision, focusing on furniture, professional vehicles, and appliances.
In 2000, they founded SUMO Design, where they worked as President until 2013. At SUMO Design, Mendoza specialized in strategic design, offering consulting services in product design and market research for various European and Asian brands.
From 2001 to 2013, Mendoza was the Director of IED Turin at the Istituto Europeo di Design. With a focus on achieving the professional success of students, they implemented a communication and promotions plan to consolidate global positioning and expected growth.
In 2013, Mendoza briefly worked as the General Manager at Mario Cucinella Architects. César then joined Ferrari in 2014 as the Coordinator of the Ferrari Top Design School Challenge, organizing an international competition involving top car design schools.
From 2012 to 2019, Mendoza held the position of President - Piemonte & Valle d'Aosta at ADI - Associazione per il Disegno Industriale. The association promoted favorable conditions for design in goods and services through cultural debates, dialogue with institutions, and service provision.
In 2015, Mendoza founded NITO S.r.l. and took on the role of Founder & CEO. NITO focused on providing innovative mobility solutions for urban populations, combining efficiency, entertainment, and convenience.

César Mendoza attended the Istituto Europeo di Design from 1985 to 1989, where they obtained a diploma in Industrial Design.
