Noriko Kanaya has a diverse work experience in the field of pharmacology and cancer research. Noriko is currently a Staff Scientist in Pharmacology at Nitto BioPharma since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked at H3 Biomedicine as an Investigator II in Immuno-oncology and pharmacology from August 2019 to August 2022. Noriko also had a role as an In Vivo Pharmacologist in Immune-Oncology Drug Discovery at Takeda Oncology from November 2018 to July 2019.
From 2012 to 2018, Kanaya worked at Beckman Research Institute at City of Hope as a Staff Scientist in the Department of Cancer Biology. Noriko'sresponsibilities included studying the mechanisms of Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) using novel mouse models and developing in vivo tumor models. Noriko was involved in a NIH-NCI-BCERP funded project focusing on immune epithelial cross-talk.
Kanaya began their research career as a Research Fellow at Beckman Research Institute at City of Hope from 2007 to 2012. Prior to that, they served as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Division of Hematology/Oncology, Department of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles from 2006 to 2007.
Throughout their career, Kanaya has gained expertise in various aspects of pharmacology and cancer research, with a focus on immune-oncology and tumor modeling.
Noriko Kanaya obtained their Bachelor's and Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine from Yamaguchi University between 1996 and 2002. Noriko then pursued further academic qualifications and completed their Ph.D. in Veterinary Medical Sciences at The University of Tokyo from 2002 to 2006.
