Sheng Kai Lan

Design Engineer at Niu Technologies

Sheng Kai Lan has experience working as a Design Engineer at NIU Technologies, starting in 2020. In this role, they focused on the development of low-speed 2-wheels electric motorcycles, specifically bike layout and chassis design. Sheng Kai was experienced in Mg alloy casting frame and forged aluminum chassis design.

Prior to this, Sheng worked at NIU Technologies as a Design Engineer from 2016 to 2019. Sheng Kai worked closely with the ID team and reported directly to the design VP. Sheng Kai was familiar with the product design process from concept to final production and led key component developments, including battery pack optimization and leaning E-trike suspension.

Before joining NIU Technologies, Sheng worked as a Design Engineer at Miniwiz Co. Ltd. from 2015 to 2016. Sheng Kai designed furniture and installations with recycled material for renowned customers such as NIKE and Marlboro IQOS.

In 2011, Sheng co-founded d.Cafe, which later became known as Changee. It was a space for design thinkers and creative start-ups to share their ideas and industry insight.

Sheng Kai Lan completed a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from National Taiwan University, from 2006 to 2010. Later, from 2013 to 2014, Sheng pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Design Product and Space at Kingston University.
