Emily Douglas is a Marine Ecologist at NIWA since March 2019, previously serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at The University of Waikato from April 2018 to February 2019. Emily completed a PhD in Marine Sciences at The University of Waikato, where the research focused on denitrification response to nutrient enrichment in New Zealand estuaries. Prior to the PhD, Emily was a Marine Technician at The University of Auckland from January 2010 to April 2013 and obtained a Master of Science in Marine Sciences from The University of Auckland in 2009. Emily holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Geography from the University of Canterbury, awarded in 2006.
