Gregor MacAra

Gregor Macara is an experienced Climate Scientist currently employed at NIWA since May 2013. In addition to this role, Gregor has held a secondment position as a Climate Scientist with the Department of Conservation from January 2020 to June 2024. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Geography and a Postgraduate Diploma in Science, both obtained from the University of Otago, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Geography. Gregor also completed a program in Avalanche Safety Management at Otago Polytechnic.
