Jim Griffiths

Jim Griffiths is a Hydrologist with extensive experience in surface and groundwater monitoring, modelling, and management. Before their current role as Group Manager at NIWA, Jim worked as an Assistant Professor at the University of Nottingham Ningbo, focusing on teaching hydrology, geomorphology, and research skills. Jim also worked as a Senior Hydrologist at SRK Consulting (UK) Ltd, where Jim specialized in water resource modelling and water quality monitoring. Jim's expertise also includes spatial and temporal dynamics of river flows and surface-groundwater interaction. With a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Hydrology and Water Resources Science, Jim is a seasoned professional in the field.
