Tilmann Steinmetz

Tilmann Steinmetz is a Principal Technician in GIS Data Administration at NIWA since June 2017. Previously, Tilmann was a Senior GIS Consultant at Eagle Technology Group Ltd (ESRI New Zealand Distributor) from November 2010 to May 2017, and a GIS Analyst Consultant at DLR from September 2007 to October 2010. Tilmann also worked as a Geologist for Brownfield Remediation at Lomex/Sakosta Munich from May 1998 to December 1998. Tilmann holds a Dr. rer.nat in Environmental Geoinformatics from The Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg, MSc in Photogrammetry and Geoinformatics from Hochschule für Technik Stuttgart, and a Diplom-Geologe in Petrology, Mineralogy, and Sedimentology from the University of Tübingen.
