Samson Gebretnsae

Samson Gebretnsae, Ph.D., is a Senior Scientist II in Bioconjugation R&D at Absci since January 2022, specializing in bioconjugation chemistry and collaborating across scientific teams. As an Adjunct Professor at the University of Maryland Baltimore County, Samson teaches statistical design of experiments. Previous experience includes senior scientific roles at Abzena, focusing on the process development of antibody drug conjugates, and at Fina BioSolutions LLC, as well as a postdoctoral researcher at Novartis, where research involved medicinal chemistry and organic synthesis. Samson holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Pretoria and a Master's degree in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University.
