Founded in 1855, NJV Govt. Higher Secondary School is the first and oldest public School in Sindh. It is a public school managed by the Akhuwat Foundation as part of the Sindh Government's public-private partnership programme to help improve public education systems.

Located in the heart of Karachi on M.A. Jinnah Road, NJV School's 150 year old campus has been declared a national heritage site. The school is currently undergoing a major overhaul in both infrastructure and academics.
