Aayami Jain

Aayami Jain has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. They are currently employed as an Associate Scientist at Nkarta, Inc. starting in 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Graphite Bio as a Senior Research Associate from June 2022 to April 2023. In this role, they contributed to early research and clinical development gene editing programs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and conducting genomics sequencing. They operated and maintained sequencing equipment and automated liquid handlers.

In their subsequent role as a Sr. QC Analyst, Aayami executed qualification and validation protocols for different analytical techniques and maintained various mammalian cell lines. As a QC Analyst, they helped set up a new analytical QC lab, drafted SOPs, and conducted routine testing.

Their earlier experience includes working as a Scientific Researcher at Genentech from September 2015 to March 2016, a Research Associate at CoreDiagnostics, Inc. from July 2013 to September 2015, a Food Pathology Lab Intern at Bioserve Clinical Research Pvt Ltd in 2011, and a Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences Intern at Midwestern University in 2010.

Aayami also has experience outside of the biotech and pharmaceutical industry. They worked as a Tutor at Kumon from August 2008 to May 2009, providing math and reading support to students. They also served as an Office Assistant at Dr. S K Talluri's Office from June 2007 to September 2007.

Aayami Jain completed their high school education at Neuqua Valley High School from 2005 to 2009. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from the University of Illinois Chicago, where they studied from 2009 to 2013.
