Jessica Sood

Jessica Sood has a diverse work experience starting in 2009 as an A.V.I.D. Instructor at Mitchell Senior Elementary School. Jessica then served as an Academic Instructor in the Afterschool Program at the same school from 2011 to 2012. In 2011, they also became a Ronald E. McNair Post Baccalaureate Scholar at the University of California, Merced. From 2013 to 2015, they were a Graduate Research Associate at North Carolina State University and also worked as a Biochemistry Teaching Assistant in 2014. Jessica then worked as a Senior Animal Technician at the University of California, Berkeley from 2017 to 2018. Starting in 2018, they joined Pulse Biosciences, Inc. as a Research Associate/Lab Manager until 2019. Jessica then worked at UNITY Biotechnology from 2019 to 2021, first as a Research Associate II and later as a Senior Research Associate. Jessica subsequently joined Applied Molecular Transport in 2021 as a Senior Research Associate and is currently working there. In 2022, they joined Nkarta, Inc. as a Senior Research Associate II.

Jessica Sood has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from the University of California, Merced. Jessica also has a Graduate Certificate in Molecular Biotechnology and a Master of Nutrition degree from North Carolina State University.
