David Schmiedt

David Schmiedt has a diverse work experience in the field of supply chain management and logistics. David currently holds the position of Director of Procurement at NKT since April 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Vice President and Head of Supply Chain at NKT from October 2020. David also has experience as a Senior Supply Chain Manager and Project Manager at NKT.

Before joining NKT, David worked at Hitachi Automotive Systems Europe as a Production Control Manager and Procurement Manager from February 2016 to June 2017. David also served as a Logistics Manager at Johnson Controls Automotive, where they implemented greenfield and logistics processes, managed planning and logistics in serial conditions, and reduced stock.

David’s early career includes a role as a Logistics Manager at Jeyes and Logistics & IT Manager/Sales Account Manager at Nemak.

David Schmiedt has a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem, which they completed from 1998 to 2002. David then pursued an Ing degree in Economics from Czech University of Life Sciences Prague from 2005 to 2008. Currently, they are completing their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Executive Management at EDU Effective Business School, with an expected completion date of 2022.
