Boris Volodin

Boris Volodin is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in engineering and technology development across various sectors. Currently serving as the VP of Component Development at nLIGHT, Inc. since October 2021, Boris previously held significant leadership roles, including Director of Advanced Technologies at TRUMPF North America and VP of Engineering at Ushio America, Inc. At PD-LD Inc., Boris was the Chief Technology Officer, leading innovations in laser technologies and manufacturing processes. Early in the career, Boris contributed as a Sr. Research Scientist at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and as Director of R&D at Accuwave Corp. Boris holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Arizona and an M.S. in Physics from Lomonosov Moscow State University.
