David Westwood

David Westwood is an experienced referee currently serving in the National Lacrosse League since September 2016 and as Referee-in-Chief for the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League since October 2017, where responsibilities include interpreting rules and overseeing officiating assignments. Westwood has a solid background in the insurance industry, having worked as an Insurance Broker at Beyond Insurance Inc. from December 2017 to April 2019 and at Sims & Associates from February 2015 to November 2017. Westwood also held the position of Vice President of Development with the Alberta Lacrosse Referees Association from December 2013 to November 2017. Additional work experience includes roles in sales and a summer position at Alberta Health Services. Westwood holds a Bachelor of Education from Burman University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Calgary and Red Deer Polytechnic.
