Angus Mabey

Angus Mabey is a professional rugby referee with New Zealand Rugby since January 2024 and serves as the MC for Auckland City Council Citizenship Ceremonies since July 2021. Previously, Angus held various roles at New Zealand Media & Entertainment from July 2011 to June 2023, including Content Director for Sport and Rural, Radio Producer, and sole producer for the number one sports drive and breakfast shows in New Zealand. Angus's contributions involved setting up high-profile interviews, identifying key news angles, and actively engaging on-air with hosts. Angus also worked as Assistant Content Director for Newstalk ZB and Radio Sport, overseeing logistics and content management in a dynamic environment. Angus holds a Bachelor of Communication in Radio from Auckland University of Technology and completed secondary education at Auckland Grammar School.
