Dr. Adam Barbarawi

Dr. Adam Barbarawi has a diverse and extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Dr. Adam is currently the Senior Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management at NMC Healthcare UAE, where they oversee the RCM for 6 multispecialty hospitals and their affiliated medical centers. In this role, they manage a team of over 260 employees and is responsible for restructuring the RCM to improve performance and reduce operational costs. Prior to this, they served as the Medical Director at NAS Administration Services, where they headed the Medical division and was responsible for various departments such as medical claims center, international assistance management, cost containment, and customer service. Dr. Adam also worked as the Regional Claims and Network Director at ACE Tempest Reinsurance USA LLC, where they founded the functional claims department and implemented procedures for claim processing. Dr. Barbarawi has also held senior positions at AIG - ALICO, where they managed the claims department and network, executed case management and cost containment measures, and engineered the shift from traditional indemnity medical insurance to credit-based insurance. Earlier in their career, they served as an anesthetist in the UAE Army Medical Services and the Ministry of Health in Jordan. Overall, Dr. Barbarawi has demonstrated strong leadership and expertise in the healthcare industry, with a focus on revenue cycle management, medical claims, network development, and cost containment.

Dr. Adam Barbarawi completed their MBBS degree in Medicine and Surgery at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna from 1970 to 1976.
