Marianne Skals

Marianne Skals has extensive experience in pharmacology and physiology, currently serving as Team Leader in in-vivo Pharmacology and Research Scientist at NMD Pharma since June 2018, where responsibilities include project management and the use of animal models for neuromuscular disease. Prior to this, Marianne worked as a Klinisk Specialist at Region Midtjylland, focusing on animal models related to sepsis and urinary tract infections from June 2016 to May 2018. Earlier roles include a Postdoc position at Aarhus Universitet, where research centered on cell physiology, membrane proteins, and purinergic signaling, as well as a Research Assistant position at the University of Southern Denmark and a teaching role in biochemistry at VIA University College. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Cell Physiology and a Master's degree in Biology with a specialization in Cardiovascular Physiology, both from Aarhus University.
