Glenn Bowers

Vice President of Agronomy at Nobell Foods

Glenn Bowers has been working in the agronomy field since 1999. Glenn began their career as a Soybean Breeder at Syngenta and was responsible for delivering late Maturity Group IV to Maturity Group VIII soybean products for the southern US. Glenn then moved up to become the Global Head of Soybean Breeding at Syngenta Seeds, where they managed 13 soybean breeders in four countries and an annual program budget of more than $35 million. In 2013, they became the Head of Soybean Breeding, South America at Syngenta, where they managed four soybean breeders and the programs in Brazil. In 2015, they joined GRB Americas Consulting, LLC as a Principal. In 2016, they joined Calyxt as the Vice President, where they were responsible for developing crops with healthier characteristics. Most recently, in 2021, they became the Vice President of Agronomy at Nobell Foods.

Glenn Bowers obtained a BA in Biology from Blackburn College between 1971 and 1975. Glenn then attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they earned an MS and PhD in Plant Pathology between 1975 and 1980. Additionally, they hold a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute.
