Upul Hathwaik

Upul Hathwaik began their career as a Graduate Research Assistant in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Nevada, Reno in 2006. In 2013, they moved to the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Research Service (ARS) as a Research Molecular Biologist. In 2018, they joined Nobell Foods as a Scientist in Biochemistry and was later promoted to Senior Scientist in Biochemistry.

Upul Hathwaik obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2006. Upul then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the same university, which they completed in 2012.
