Ellen Cathrine Holmen

Ellen Cathrine Holmen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in business development and commercial management, particularly in the chemical and gas industries. Currently serving as a Business Development Manager at Nobian since July 2021, Ellen focuses on the development of salt caverns for gas storage to support the renewable energy transition. Previously, Ellen held roles as Commercial Manager for Chlor-Alkali at both Nobian and Nouryon, leading European sales teams in a dynamic market. Additional experience includes positions in commercial excellence, business and market intelligence, and project management at Nouryon and AkzoNobel. Ellen's career began in the early 1990s in various roles related to specialty gases, including significant positions at Linde AG, AGA AB, and Norsk Hydro AS. Ellen holds a Master's degree in Chemistry from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and a Business Management program degree from BI Norwegian Business School.
