Prior to their time at Noble Drilling, Emily worked at LUKOIL Overseas Offshore Projects Inc. as a Senior Legal Counsel & Interim Chief Compliance Officer from June 2014 to September 2014, and as a Senior Legal Counsel from July 2013 to June 2014.
Emily's career started in the judiciary, where they worked as a Briefing Attorney/Law Clerk at the U.S. District Courts, Southern District of Texas from August 2006 to July 2013. Emily also served as a Briefing Attorney/Law Clerk at the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit from August 2010 to July 2011.
Emily Buchanan earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History from the University of Houston from 1989 to 1992. Emily then went on to attend the University of Houston Law Center, where they obtained a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from 2003 to 2006.
