Kai Leino began their career in 1995 as a Thesis Worker at Nokia. Kai then moved up to become a Design Engineer and Senior Design Engineer, RF, where they were responsible for the RF HW development of Nokia's Direct Conversion transceiver development and wake-up. Kai was also responsible for the receiver, transmitter, synthesizer, and VCO of various mobile phone models, as well as the DSP algorithm development of Direct Conversion receiver with the SW team. In 2014, Leino took a position at Microsoft as an Engineer II, RF, where they studied the feasibility of Envelope Tracking in mobile device transmitters, was responsible for LTE/WCDMA transmitter design, component evaluation, RF simulations, and system level performance evaluation and debugging tasks. Kai also supported production and maintenance. In 2016, Leino moved to Noccela as a Senior HW Engineer, where they were responsible for RF, Antenna, and HW electronics development, product prototyping, product and test system PCB design, production testing development and test system HW development, component sourcing, product certification activities, and product concepting and productization.
Kai Leino completed a Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering at the Turku Institute of Technology from 1991 to 1995.
