Olli Laasonen began their career in 2009 as a software tester intern at Euronic Oy. In 2010, they moved on to Woima Hosting Oy as a web developer. In 2012, they joined Verkkovaraani as a full stack developer, where they developed websites and web applications using Verkkovaraani's own content management system. Olli also worked as a server administrator and designed and implemented a private cloud environment for Verkkovaraani and its customers. In 2013, they joined Nordic Welfare Systems Oy as a software architect and developed a geriatric patient monitoring system. In 2015, they moved on to Noccela as a software engineer, where they developed the cloud service from scratch using .NET and a hybrid mobile app. Olli was later promoted to head of cloud, where they had more control over non-technical aspects of the system and a supervisor role including HR tasks. In 2018, they were appointed as the company's Chief Technology Officer, responsible for all the company's research and development operations, including embedded, cloud, and mobile software development, PCB, RF, electric and mechanical design, electronics production and testing, cloud operations, and quality assurance. Olli also takes care of the technical side of partnerships with integrators, resellers, and other partners, and manages internal development projects, customer projects, and customer relations.
Olli Laasonen completed a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Embedded Systems from Turku University of Applied Sciences between 2010 and 2014. Olli then went on to earn a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Technological Competence Management from the same university between 2018 and 2021.
