Van Lieou has over 20 years of experience in Human Resources. From 1999 to 2000, they worked as an HR Representative I at Lockheed Martin and then as an HR Representative III at PRI Automation. From 2001 to 2007, they worked as an HR Manager at Force10 Networks Inc., where they handled all HR related issues, employee trainings, immigration, Benefits, and contractor screening. Van also reviewed and implemented a new HRIS system, facilitated all compliance requirements, and developed the policies in the company Handbook. From 2007 to 2013, they worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator (Medical Device/Interventional Drug) at MD Studies, Inc., where they assisted in planning and coordinating the initiation of research study protocols and establishing operating policies and procedures. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Stanford University School of Medicine, where they were responsible for managing day-to-day operations of a grant-funded survey research project involving more than 800 participants at 9 medical centers. From 2017 to 2019, they worked as a Clinical Research Associate Consultant (Medical Device/Interventional Drug) at a consultant firm. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Clinical Project Manager at CapsoVision, Inc., where they managed the conduct of clinical research trials and facilitated collaborative efforts among the clinical study team, principal investigators and data management. Most recently, they have been working as a Sr. Clinical Project Manager at Noctrix Health, Inc. since 2021.
Van Lieou obtained a Bachelor of Science in HR Management from Cal State East Bay- College of Business & Economics between 1995 and 1999. In August 2019, they obtained the LinkedIn certification in New Manager Foundations. Additionally, they hold certifications in CPR, ECG/EKG, IATA and DOT, and Phlebotomy (CPT#76515).
