Zsofia Digby has worked in a variety of roles across the scientific field. From 2012 to 2016, they were an Advanced Research Assistant at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, where they focused on molecular biology laboratory work such as DNA isolation, high through-put genotyping, and the generation and analysis of zebrafish mutant lines. Additionally, they followed up on mutations generated by the Zebrafish Mutation Project (ZMP). From 2016 to 2020, they were a PhD Student at the Department of Veterinary Medicine, Cambridge University, where they investigated the role of inflammasomes in response to intracellular bacterial infections across different species. Currently, they are an Associate Scientist, Translational Science and a Scientific Operations Associate at NodThera.

Zsofia Digby's education history includes a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Szeged Faculty of Science and Informatics in Cell- and Molecular Biology, which they obtained between 2006 and 2010. Zsofia then went on to complete a Master's Degree from Eötvös Lóránd University Budapest Faculty of Science in Molecular Biology, Immunology and Microbiology between 2010 and 2012. During this time, they also worked as a Visiting Research Assistant at UCL's Institute of Structural & Molecular Biology. Zsofia also holds a Home Office Licence from the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986.
