Fabien Lepoutre has had a varied career in engineering and software design. Fabien began their career in 2011 as an intern for GEOSYS, where they were a computer maintenance technician. In 2012, they moved to GMC-Instruments as a Software Designer. In 2013, they worked for Adeunis RF as an R&D Embedded Hardware and Software Engineer. Fabien then moved to Atmel Norway as an Embedded Application/Test Engineer, where they developed I2C and SPI communication protocols on AVR32 and Python tools to automate characterizations and tests. In 2015, they moved to Atmel Corporation as an Embedded Applications Engineer, where they developed an automated tuning framework with Python. In 2016, they moved to Alien Technology as a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer, where they took ownership of the flagship product's embedded firmware and increased RFID chip read accuracy by 10% and speed by more than 20%. In 2017, they moved to Culvert Engineering Solutions, LLC as a Senior Firmware Engineer, where they were the first employee in a product design startup and helped bring up new hardware and developed all device drivers to enable manufacturing tests for production. In 2020, they moved to Cionic as a Staff Firmware Engineer, and then to Elliptic Labs as a Senior Software Engineer. Finally, they are currently working for Nofence as an Engineering Manager since 2023.
Fabien Lepoutre completed a DUT in Industrial/Embedded Computing from IUT GEII Toulouse in 2010. Fabien then went on to pursue two Master of Engineering degrees, one from Polytech Grenoble and one from Montana State University-Bozeman, both in Computer Hardware Engineering.
