Michael Wachell

Michael Wachell has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Michael is currently working as a Lead Engineer at the National Football League (NFL), a position they started in December 2022. Before joining the NFL, Michael held various positions at Noiz, starting as a Senior Software Engineer in July 2019 and progressing to become the Software Engineering Team Lead and eventually the Director of Software Engineering. Michael joined Noiz in October 2021.

Prior to their time at Noiz, Michael worked as a Software Engineer (Jr.) at Next 10 Ventures from April to June 2019. Michael was responsible for developing ideas that support the creator economy. Michael also has experience as a Full Stack Developer at Responsive AI, where they enhanced code modularity and clarity and tailored the experience and UI for enterprise clients. Michael worked at Responsive AI from July 2018 to March 2019.

Before transitioning into software engineering, Michael worked in the advertising and creative services field. Michael was a Senior Advertising and Creative Services Specialist/Senior Comm. Coord. at Prudential Financial from December 2013 to December 2017. In this role, they led a team in creating a modular, educational single-page app and developed customized email campaigns for Fortune 100 clients.

Michael also has experience in media production, serving as the Creative Director at Two Red Diamonds Productions from July 2011 to November 2017. During this time, they worked on projects such as television shows, operas, and films, where they contributed as a director, composer, sound designer, and brand consultant.

Furthermore, Michael gained early experience in the music industry, working as a Senior Project Coordinator and Project Coordinator at Universal Music Group in 2007. Michael also interned at IHEARTCOMIX Records in the same year. Prior to that, Michael worked as a DJ and radio personality at KCSR/USC RADIO from May 2005 to September 2006. Michael started their professional career as an Administrative Assistant in the President's Office at the University of Southern California from January 2004 to May 2005.

Michael Wachell attended the University of Southern California from 2002 to 2006, earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics. In 2018, they completed a Full Stack Development Immersive program at Hack Reactor. In 2016, they obtained a certification as a WWise 101 Certified End User from Audiokinetic.
