Venka Somayaji

Venka Somayaji has worked in the technology industry for over 25 years. Venka began their career at Versant in 1993 as a Principal Engineer and Senior Support Engineer and Lead. In 1999, they were a Principal Engineer at both Aspect Development and iVendor, Inc. where they designed and developed a load balancing module for Aspect's Java-based Explore.net servers and an XML API for iVendor's order management service based on BEA Weblogic server. From 2000 to 2011, they worked at Vitria Technology as a Director of Engineering, Senior Manager of Engineering, and Engineering Manager. During their time at Vitria, they managed product development teams, Release Engineering and Support teams, and led the Amazon EC2 operations team. From 2011 to 2012, they were the Senior Engineering Manager at Rearden Commerce, where they managed the Mobile server development team and the Application Operations team. Since 2012, they have been the Senior Director of Engineering at Nok Nok Labs.

Venka Somayaji has a Master's degree in Systems Science from Louisiana State University.
