Aref Chowdhury

Aref Chowdhury is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in the telecommunications industry, currently serving as Vice President of Strategy and CTO for Network Infrastructure at Nokia since January 2016. Previous roles include various leadership positions at Alcatel-Lucent from April 2008 to January 2016, where Aref held the titles of CTO Optics and Senior Manager for Intellectual Property & Standards. Prior experience includes a technical role at Bell Laboratories and engineering positions at Alcatel CIT. Aref holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering and Applied Mathematics & Statistics from Stony Brook University.
