Ed Harstead

Ed Harstead has built a robust career in technology and engineering, currently serving as the Lead Technologist within Nokia's Chief Technology Office, Fixed Networks Division, since 1997. In this role, Ed has led multiple projects focused on technology strategy, notably in high-speed PON. Prior positions include Senior Marketing Manager for the Wireline Product Group, where Ed oversaw internal training and external marketing programs for broadband solutions, and Senior Product Line Manager for Broadband Access and Optical Networking. Earlier experience at AT&T Bell Labs included a role as a Member of Technical Staff. Ed holds multiple degrees from Columbia Engineering, including a Master's in Electrical Engineering and a Master's in Mechanical Engineering, as well as a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering.
