Din Mustaffa has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. In 2018, they joined FNZ Group as the Group Chief Strategy Officer, where they oversaw strategy, corporate development, investor relations, and fundraising. Din successfully led multiple equity rounds and debt financing/refinancing rounds during their tenure. In 2021, Din served as the Interim CFO / Non Executive Director at Bondsmith. Din then went on to work as a Non Executive Director at Nøkkel, Timeline, Tapico, and Advicefront, starting from 2022 and 2019 respectively. Additionally, Din was a Supervisory Board Member at DIAMOS from October 2022 to December 2022. In 2018, they were an Investor at Embark Group, which was subsequently acquired by Lloyds Bank. Prior to that, they worked at Grant Thornton UK LLP and Jeffreys Henry in M&A Corporate Finance and Audit & ECM Corporate Finance roles respectively.
Din Mustaffa has a diverse education history. Din attended the University of Cambridge, where they pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship. Din also studied at ICAEW, where they achieved ACA - First-Time Passes. Additionally, Din Mustaffa holds a BA in Accounting and Finance, First-Class Honours, from the University of Exeter. Prior to that, they obtained a Diploma in Accountancy, First-Class Honours, from Universiti Teknologi MARA. Din completed their Malaysian Certificate of Education (GCSE Equivalent) at The Malay College Kuala Kangsar (MCKK). Lastly, they were offered a place at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) for the Executive MSc Finance program but declined the offer.
Din Mustaffa has also obtained additional certifications. Din holds a certification in Financial and Valuation Modeling from Wall Street Prep and a certification in Investment, Risk, and Taxation from The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (The CISI).
