Rob Hooper has a diverse work experience in education and software development coaching. Rob began their career as a Classroom Teacher at Tauranga Intermediate School in 2010 and then worked as an Intermediate Teacher at Gisborne Intermediate from 2014 to 2016. From 2012 to 2013, they served as a Supply Teacher - Mathematics Specialist at Vision Teaching. Rob then transitioned to the role of Mathematics Teacher at Campion College Gisborne from 2016 to 2021, where they taught mathematics and coding to students of different levels. In 2021, Rob joined _nology as a Trainee Software Developer. Rob quickly progressed to become a Junior Software Development Coach, where they supported and guided students in creating websites and applications using various programming languages. Subsequently, they advanced to the position of Associate Software Development Coach, leading a group of 18 students and teaching them HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React JS, and Java. Currently, they hold the position of L&D Lead / Associate Software Development Coach at _nology, collaborating with consultants and their assigned companies to provide technical guidance and support while developing customized learning materials.

Rob Hooper attended the University of Canterbury from 2007 to 2009, where they pursued a Bachelor of Teaching and Learning (Primary) and focused on Elementary Education and Teaching. Additionally, they obtained a Bachelor of Teacher and Learning in the same field from the University of Canterbury, although the specific years are unknown.
