Chris Cheng

Chris Cheng is currently the General Counsel at Nomad Health. Prior to this, Cheng served as Head of Legal for Uber Works, Inc. from January 2020 to December 2020. From January 2020 to December 2022, Cheng was with Zoom as the Associate General Counsel. Cheng spent six years with Upwork, from January 2014 to December 2020, and was VP, Associate General Counsel & Assistant Secretary during that time. With Upwork, Cheng helped lead the company's IPO. Chris has also been recognized by The Recorder as Legal Department of the Year (Emerging-Company Category) in 2016 and by the Financial Times as one of the Top 25 Most Innovative In-House Legal Teams in North America in 2014. Prior to Upwork, Cheng was with eBay from January 2012 to December 2014 as Product and Commercial Counsel. Cheng started their legal career as an Associate - Corporate Group with K&L Gates LLP from January 2010 to December 2012 and then Perkins Coie LLP from January 2006 to December 2010. Prior to their legal career, Cheng worked as a Software Engineer for J.P. Morgan from January 2002 to December 2003.

Chris Cheng received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, cum laude, from Columbia University in the City of New York. Chris then received a JD from University of California, Hastings College of the Law. Finally, they received Executive Education from Stanford University Graduate School of Business's Advanced Leadership Program.

Their manager is Alexi Nazem, Co-Founder & CEO. Chris Cheng works with Justin Lambert - President & COO, Jess Compagnola - Chief Financial Officer, and Liming Zhao - Chief Technology Officer.
