Melanie Madriz

Melanie Madriz has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. In 2019, they started working at Nonprofit Megaphone as a Team Engagement & Recruitment Assistant, where they screened applicants for hiring, assisted with onboarding and offboarding processes, and helped plan annual retreats. Prior to this, from 2018 to 2018, they worked at Family and Children's Services Niagara as a Child Protection Worker, where they provided child protection services and intervened with families to prevent neglect or abuse. From 2016 to 2018, Melanie served as a Rehabilitation Educator at Rescare Premier, promoting independent functioning and skills for participants with acquired brain injury. Melanie also worked at Christian Horizons as a Direct Support Professional in 2015, administering personal care, preparing meals, and assisting with medication administration. Additionally, Melanie was a Client Support Worker at Hannah House Maternity Home from 2015 to 2016, overseeing residents and offering support and guidance. Moreover, they worked as a Placement Student at Strive Niagara from 2014 to 2015, assessing client needs, referring them to social services, and documenting progress. In 2008, they served as a Sales Associate at Frankie Sez, supervising sales staff and resolving customer complaints. Finally, in 2012, they were a Placement Student at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada, where they reviewed client information, conducted interviews, and assessed their skill strengths and needs.

From 2013 to 2015, they attended Niagara University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Social Work.

During the same period, from 2011 to 2015, they also attended Niagara College and earned a Diploma in Social Service Work.

Prior to that, from 2011 to 2013, they completed another Diploma at Niagara College in General Studies.

Melanie'ssecondary education took place at Eden High School from 2006 to 2010.

In addition to their formal education, Melanie Madriz has also obtained various certifications. In October 2022, they became a Microsoft Advertising Certified Professional, completed the Microsoft Advertising Native & Display Certification, the Microsoft Advertising Search Certification, and the Microsoft Advertising Shopping Certification. In August 2019, they obtained the Google Ads Search Certification. Moreover, in October 2020, they completed the Content Marketing Certified and Inbound Marketing Certified programs offered by HubSpot. Lastly, they attained the Standard First Aid with CPR C + AED certification from St. John Ambulance Ontario in September 2015 and the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training from the Crisis Prevention Institute in October 2015.
