Ian G. Jones

Ian G. Jones is a seasoned professional in the field of drilling engineering and well integrity, currently serving as a Government Inspector and Well Integrity Specialist at NOPSEMA since January 2018. With extensive experience in various roles, including Senior Drilling Engineer at Shell and Well Decommissioning Engineer at Santos Ltd, Ian has developed expertise in well integrity assessments, drilling safety, and well decommissioning, as well as leading investigations that may result in prosecutions. Additional experience includes work as a scuba diving instructor and in industrial photography, highlighting a diverse skill set. Ian holds multiple academic qualifications, including a Bachelor of Engineering with honors from Brunel University, and certifications in government investigation and marine science.
