Søren Agergaard Andersen has a diverse range of work experience. Søren began their career as a Bond Analyst at BG Bank in 1996 and later worked as a Business Consultant at Advent Software. Søren then joined KPMG as a Senior Consultant in Financial Services. In 2004, Søren became a Risk Manager at DIP and then transitioned to PensionDanmark as a Senior Risk Manager in 2006. In 2008, they took on the role of Head of Middle Office and Back Office at Unipension, where they built up the Middle Office department and improved efficiency in risk, performance, accounting, and back-office processes. Søren also worked as an External Lecturer at Copenhagen Business School in 2008. From 2011 to 2016, they served as Head of Risk SEB DK at SEB, responsible for risk control in Denmark. Following this, Søren became the Chief Risk Officer at Nordea Asset Management in 2016, leading risk strategy, governance, regulatory compliance, and people management in the largest asset manager in the Nordics. Søren's most recent role was as a Partner at FinE Analytics, where they developed software solutions for the financial industry specializing in financial engineering, advanced mathematics, optimization, and statistical methods.
Søren Agergaard Andersen obtained a M.Sc. degree in Mathematics-Economics from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen from 1992 to 1999. Søren also earned a PRM certification in Risk Management from PRMIA in 2005-2006. Furthermore, Søren undertook an executive MBA program at Copenhagen Business School from 2022 to 2024. Søren also attended a program on "Boards in Financial Companies" at Copenhagen Business School in 2020. Søren completed their secondary education at N. Zahles Gymnasieskole from 1988 to 1991 and their primary education at Taastrup Private Realskole from 1978 to 1987. Additionally, Søren holds certifications from Mensa Denmark and PRMIA - Professional Risk Managers' International Association.
