Itxaso Labayen

Itxaso Labayen is an experienced professional in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as the Head of Global Ramp-up Projects at Nordex Group since May 2018, overseeing a team focused on resolving technical and safety issues in new wind farm projects. Previously, Itxaso held the role of Technical Issue Project Manager, utilizing 8D methodology to address technical issues efficiently. Prior experience includes various engineering positions at BSH Bosch and Siemens Home Appliances Group, M.Torres Diseños Industriales, Acciona Energy, and Acciona Windpower, where responsibilities ranged from energy management solutions implementation to operation and maintenance of wind turbines. Itxaso holds degrees in Electrical Engineering and Industrial Electrical Engineering from multiple institutions, including Universidad Alfonso X El Sabio and Universidad del País Vasco.
