Ola Boström

SVP Quality at Nordic Semiconductor

Ola Boström has a significant work experience in the semiconductor industry. They started their career in 2000 at ST Microelectronics, where they worked as a Product Engineer and later as a Device Simulation Engineer until 2006.

In 2006, Ola joined Nordic Semiconductor, where they held various roles throughout their tenure. They started as a Quality Assurance Engineer, handling customer complaints and collaborating with suppliers to improve quality. They then progressed to become a Product Qualification Manager, responsible for defining and executing product qualification plans and participating in key operational reviews with suppliers. Ola's next role was Test and Product Engineering Manager, where they focused on production monitoring, excursion handling, and yield optimization through close collaboration with internal and external partners. They also played a central role in quality operational reviews with wafer, test, and assembly suppliers in Asia. In 2018, Ola became the FA Lab Manager, leading the FA lab and overseeing the quality and reliability of products. Finally, they served as the VP of Quality and Reliability, including managing the FA Lab, before being promoted to the role of SVP Quality in August 2022.

Ola Boström completed a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Mechanical stress control during wafer manufacturing from Univeriste de Saint Jerome, Aix-Marseille III, from 1997 to 2000. Prior to that, Ola Boström obtained a Master's degree in Ingénierie des matériaux from Uppsala University, from 1989 to 1996.
