The Norfolk Redevelopment Housing Authority has a long and rich history dating back to the early 1900s. The agency was created in response to the growing need for affordable housing in the city of Norfolk. Since its inception, the NRHA has been a leader in providing quality housing for low- and moderate-income families. The agency has developed and managed thousands of units of housing, including public housing, senior housing, and mixed-use developments. The NRHA has also been a pioneer in community development, working with partners to revitalize neighborhoods and create economic opportunity. Today, the NRHA is governed by a seven-member Board of Commissioners and is led by an experienced executive team.
