Anand Ramakrishnan is a Lead Computer Vision Scientist at Norfolk Southern and has been with the company since 2021. Prior to this role, Anand served as a Deep Learning Computer Vision Scientist. Since May 2017, Anand has also been a Research Assistant at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, focusing on developing architectures to predict teacher-student interaction quality through video analysis and creating models for face detection and multi-object tracking. Additionally, Anand has experience as a Teaching Assistant in System Programming Concepts. Previous internships include positions at PARC, a Xerox Company, and Bosch Center for Artificial Intelligence, where facial keypoint detection was implemented. Anand holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science and a Master’s Degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering, both from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
