Christian Slinning has extensive work experience in the field of security and advisory roles. Christian is currently serving as the Deputy Chairman for HOS-Heads of Security Central Banks International and is a Member of the steering committee. Christian previously held the role of Chairman of Good Guidance Groups (Best practices) at the same organization.

Prior to this, Christian worked as the Security Director (CSO) at Norges Bank. Christian also served as the Chairman of the International Security Committee at NSR - Næringslivets Sikkerhetsråd, an advisory organization for the Norwegian business sector. Christian began their career in 1993 as an Officer in the Norwegian Armed Forces, where they served in leadership, intelligence, security, and tactical roles. Christian completed 9 deployments abroad in multinational operations.

Christian Slinning has a diverse education history. In 1996-1998, they attended The Norwegian Military Academy, where they focused on Military Operations and Leadership. Christian then returned to the academy from 2001 to 2003 to study Strategy. In 2003-2006, Christian pursued BA-level courses at UiT-The Arctic University of Norway, specializing in Islamic Studies, International Politics, and Methodology. Christian furthered their education at UiT from 2006 to 2009, obtaining a Master of Arts degree in Conflict, Security, and Multi-Cultural Communication. In 2019, Christian attended Harvard University, where they completed a Premier Certificate program in Cyber Security - Managing Risk in the Information Age. Additionally, they participated in a course on Commercial Decisions at Harvard University in the same year. Most recently, in 2020-2021, Christian attended Forsvarets høgskole (FHS), also known as the Norwegian Defence University College, for the Senior Executive Course (Sjefskurset). Christian also obtained a certification in Cybersecurity: Managing Risk in the Information Age from Harvard University in November 2019.
