Jorge Mayo, CFA, is an experienced finance professional specializing in portfolio management and analysis with a focus on merger arbitrage and special situations in the US and Canada. Currently serving as a Portfolio Manager at Norges Bank since August 2022, Jorge previously held senior roles at Carlson Capital, L.P., covering European merger arbitrage and special situations. Jorge's earlier experience includes positions at NatWest Markets Plc, where responsibilities encompassed credit and equity analysis of European financials, as well as tasks related to French and US investment banks. Jorge’s career began at Hermes Fund Managers as a Buy-side Equity Analyst. Education credentials include a Master’s in Investment Management from Cass Business School and a degree in Economics from Universidade do Porto.
