Dustin R. Denison has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Dustin is currently working as a Mechanical Project Manager at Norhart since February 2021. Previously, they worked as the Principal/Owner of Applied Energy Innovations for almost 10 years, from January 2010 to November 2019. In 2014, they founded and served as the President of the Minnesota Solar Energy Industries Association, a trade organization representing the MN solar industry. Dustin held this position until June 2019. Dustin also worked at Bostroms as a Field Foreman, Journeyman, and Project Manager from June 2006 to September 2006.

Dustin R. Denison has a diverse education history, with various degrees and certifications in different fields. Dustin obtained a degree in Mechanical from SMWIA #10 JATC from 2000 to 2008, specializing in Commercial Building Efficiency - Energy Management/Journeyman upgrade & Masters' licensure. Prior to that, they attended the University of Minnesota from 1990 to 2007, where they pursued Engineering - Law with a focus on Renewable Technologies / Labor Law.

In addition to their formal education, Dustin also earned a degree in Labor from George Meany National Labor College in 1998, with a field of study in Labor Law. Dustin completed an HVAC Sheet Metal Apprenticeship - Journeyman at SMWIA #9 Metro Joint Apprenticeship Training Council from 1997 to 1999. Before that, they attended Emily Griffith Technical College in 1997 to earn a degree in Applied Sciences, specializing in HVAC.

Dustin also obtained certifications in the field of energy and environmental design. Dustin completed Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design from the U.S. Green Building Council in 2018.
